About this Activity

Unique for its cultural heritage as the site of a former Hainan Village, Thomson Nature Park is also a key conservation site for the critically endangered Raffles' Banded Langur. The conserved ruins and signage near the park entrance tell the history of the Hainanese and other immigrants who lived, farmed and planted here from the 1930s to the 1980s.

Birdwatchers can look out for the Coppersmith Barbet, Straw-headed Bulbul and Asian Brown Flycatcher, while the Lesser Mouse-deer โ€” the world's smallest hoofed animal โ€” is another park resident. Free entry; open daily 7amโ€“7pm.
