Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve — Crocodiles & Migratory Birds
by NParks

About this Activity
Singapore's premier wetland nature reserve is an absolute gem that most families have never visited — and kids are consistently amazed by it. The star attractions are the resident estuarine crocodiles, which can often be spotted basking on the mudflats near the main bridge and lookout points. During the migratory bird season (August–April), hundreds of shorebirds from as far as Siberia gather here too.
Weekend guided walks are offered free of charge by NParks rangers: 'Croc and Friends at Lookout Point' (Sundays 9–10:30am) is ideal for families with curious kids. Self-guided trails are open daily 7am–7pm, and the boardwalks and viewing hides are pram-friendly. Bring insect repellent and wear closed shoes.
Sungei Buloh is one of the last places in Singapore where you can experience truly wild nature close-up. Combine with a visit to Kranji Farmlands for a full North Singapore adventure.
