by National Heritage Board
About this Activity
The National Museum of Singapore marks its 139th birthday and the reopening of the revamped Singapore History Gallery with nine days of festivities. Free daily programmes include the National Living Room (a life-sized recreation of a nostalgic living room) and the Living & Design Market featuring local makers.
Free weekend-only programmes (10, 11, 17 & 18 Oct) include Say Cheese with Stoney (photo meet-and-greets with the museum's giant walking-stone mascot), a Migrant Tales rickshaw puller meet-and-greet (ages 3+), a drop-in pipe-cleaner craft activity 'Stoney, A Softie at Heart' (ages 7+), and in-gallery pop-up history performances. Community Jamming with Ann Siang Sounds closes the festival on 18 Oct, with complimentary ice cream while stocks last.
A few programmes are separately ticketed, including workshops and talks aimed at teens and adults. Runs 10β18 October 2026, daily 10amβ7pm. Gallery admission is free for Singapore citizens and PRs.
