Labrador Nature Reserve — Fort & Coastal Jungle Trail
by NParks

About this Activity
Labrador Nature Reserve packs an unusual combination of WWII history, coastal geology, and lush secondary jungle into one compact park — making it one of the most interesting free outdoor outings in Singapore for curious kids. The fort ruins of Fort Pasir Panjang, complete with artillery positions, tunnels, and gun emplacements, are genuinely fascinating to explore.
The coastal cliff trail offers sea views and shaded jungle walking, while the rocky beach at low tide reveals rock pools with crabs and sea creatures. The park is small enough (around 1.5km of main trail) to be manageable with younger children, yet interesting enough to hold older kids' attention with a bit of history storytelling.
Note: the Berlayar Creek boardwalk section is closed for works until March 2027, but the main fort trail and coastal walk remain fully open. Nearest MRT is Labrador Park (CC27), a 10-minute walk. Bring water and wear covered shoes.
