Kampong Glam Heritage Walking Trail

A free self-guided heritage walking trail through the Kampong Glam conservation area, starting at the Malay Heritage Centre and weaving through Arab Street, Beach Road, and Jalan Sultan. The trail reveals Singapore's Malay and Arab trading history through beautifully conserved shophouses, the Sultan Mosque, and vibrant textile and carpet shops that have traded here for generations.

Trail maps and audio guides are downloadable free from the Roots.sg portal — perfect for exploring at your own pace with older children who can engage with the stories. Allow 1.5–2 hours for a relaxed walk. End with a traditional Malay lunch or Middle Eastern cuisine along Arab Street.
