Istana Open House

The Istana Open House welcomes the public onto the Istana grounds up to five times a year, with live performances and family-friendly activities. The next edition runs Sunday, 1 November 2026, 8.30am to 6.00pm (last entry 5.30pm) via the Main Gate on Orchard Road — no pre-registration needed. The Istana Main Building itself is currently closed for restoration.

Grounds admission is free for Singapore Citizens and PRs (including accompanying migrant domestic workers); other visitors pay $20 per adult and $10 per child aged 4 to 12. Entry into the Istana Villa costs extra: $2 per adult/child (4-12) for Citizens and PRs, or $10/$5 for other visitors.

An optional Istana Heritage Tour — a 1-hour guided walk with NParks volunteers covering the Villa, Ceremonial Plaza and Japanese Garden — also runs that day (English: 10.30am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm; Mandarin: 10.30am, 1pm), priced separately at $8/$4 (adult/child) for Citizens and PRs or $30/$12 standard.
