Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2026

Chinatown's Mid-Autumn celebrations run from 11 September to 4 October 2026, centred on Kreta Ayer Square, Banda Street and Kreta Ayer Community Club, with neighbourhood lantern displays also at River Place, Havelock View and Chin Swee–Hong Lim. After 24 years, the large-format lanterns along Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road are not returning this year; in their place are community-made lantern displays, a lantern design competition, lantern riddles, and mooncake-and-tea sessions.

The main event, 'Light a Lantern, Share Your Blessing', is on 19 September 2026 from 6pm, with a lantern procession and stage performances. Admission is free. Organised by the Chinatown Festival Committee with the Kreta Ayer–Kim Seng grassroots organisations.
