Bukit Batok Town Park (Little Guilin)

Bukit Batok Town Park is a 42-hectare park nicknamed 'Little Guilin' for the dramatic granite rock formations rising beside its lake — a disused quarry flooded in the 1980s that now looks like a slice of China's Guilin countryside. Families can spot Grey-headed Fish Eagles and other birdlife, walk the shaded paths around the lake, or let kids loose at the playground (a mini climbing tower with slides, a rope bridge and a sandy pit for bucket-and-shovel play).

Free entry, open 24 hours. There's no carpark at the park itself — it connects conveniently to Bukit Gombak MRT station on foot. Pets and fishing aren't allowed.
